In this research we applied adaptive hypermedia techniques for cheating a virtual text about Pioneers of theModern Brazilian Design, a comprehensive historical research developed by professor Guilherme Cunha
Lima. He divided Brazilian designers in three main groups according to chronology of their work. The three
groups are precursors, pioneers and contemporaries. Our virtual text concerns only the group of pioneers
studied by Cunha Lima. The hypermedia adaptation techniques follows Brusilovsky’s model and was applied
into a previous text, originality designed for printed work. Adaptive hypermedia is applied without changing any
piece of information of the original work. We only suggest an adaptive navigation based on an index of
navigational tips formulated according to the user’s interests.
